Navigating the world of AI can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. In this webinar we explore a practical planning framework to make your next professional development session more intentional and effective. We look at some of the strategies we use to build our own trainings, creating a space where you can identify the specific AI tools that will best empower your instructors and learners. You’ll leave with a clear, purposeful process for evaluating AI tools grounded not in hype, but in outcomes—because when we start with the learning, the tools follow.
Presented by: Nell Eckersley & Cynthia Bell Resource Padlet: https://padlet.com/thelacnyc/AALPDAIPD To shift new and emerging math instructors toward conceptual math and numeracy instruction we need to root PD in the kinds of instructional decisions we want teachers to make. Research shows that PD that is content-focused, actively engages teachers in doing the work they will ask of students, models effective practice, and provides sustained, supported opportunities for reflection and refinement is far more likely to change instruction.
The Adult Numeracy Network has curated a public collection of Instructional Routines to help anyone begin that journey. Come learn actively with us! This session was presented in partnership with the Adult Numeracy Network ANN). ANN is the professional organization for math educators who work with adult learners. The presenters are Connie Rivera and Heidi Schuler. |
