About AALPD

The Association of Adult Literacy Professional Developers (AALPD) is the national group for professional developers in adult literacy. AALPD serves as a strand partner for the annual COABE (Coalition on Adult Basic Education) conference and offers a pre-conference and other professional development events.

Purpose

The purposes of AALPD are:
  • To provide a community and network for both novice and experienced professional developers.
  • To set standards for professional development based on research in the field.
  • To provide professional development for professional developers based on their needs and interests.

AALPD serves as the voice of professional developers in the field of adult literacy and education.

The Association of Adult Literacy Professional Developers is a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
